I recently asked National Best Selling Author Greg S Reid, “What kept you going during the tough times? When money was low or non existent and no publisher wanted to help create your dream, how did you keep from getting discouraged?”
(Paraphrasing) He said, You have to keep things in perspective. Think about what your grandfathers had to endure when they were fighting in the war. How different was their life experience from yours? What if you told them that you were discouraged because people were telling you “No” on the phone all day long? They would laugh at you. We have it so good and we should be grateful everyday for all the wonderful things and people in our lives. When you think about it in those terms then picking up the phone is a piece of cake.
If you’re feeling down about your current situation, remember this: It’s when times are the toughest that a major breakthrough is about to happen. Keep Going. You’re Almost There.
