I surely remember my first kiss. I was a nervous 13 year old going on my first movie date with my very first girlfriend. It was an afternoon showing of the Mike Myers comedy Austin Powers at the Showcase Cinemas on Bardstown Rd in Louisville. Needless to say, I don’t remember much of the movie 😉
I snapped this picture a few years ago the day the theater was torn down.
Though I was sad to see it go, the film viewing and cinema industry has changed drastically over the last 20 years and I’m sure National Amusements, parent to Showcase Cinemas, felt the hit deep in their pocket books.

One could even theorize that the surrounding neighborhood property values will increase. Time will tell on that one, but for now let’s keep making our Possibility City GREAT. Speaking of, my partners and I are continuing to make Louisville GREAT by renovating and rehabbing distressed and outdated homes. If you need to sell your Louisville KY home for CASH you’re in luck because We Buy Houses for CASH in almost any area and in any condition. Visit your KY Home Buyer or contact me directly.
